SEAN SHAW An artist highly regarded for his draftsmanship, character concepts, and sense of design, Shaw is a detail-oriented linesmith who combines the expressive, Mucha-influenced approach to illustration of the Barry Windsor-Smith and Joe Quesada tradition with the precision-detailed realism of artists like Hal Foster, Mark Schultz, and Brian Bolland. Shaw entered the field in the mid-90s on titles such as Captain Satan and his creator-owned Wicked at small press publisher Millenium, as well as stories in Penthouse Comix and Penthouse Max. His work quickly came to the notice of Wildstorm where he did a pair of issues of Gen 13 Bootleg and the Vampirella/Wetworks one-shot. At Avatar, Shaw has done a number of covers, and interior stories including Avengelyne: Revelation Prelude, Avengelyne/Shi #1/2, The Cavewoman Color Special, Razor: The Ravening, and several issues of Threshold (Wicked, Fauna) and Raw Media (Nature Girl, Maid of Steel). Currently, Shaw is continuing the adventures of Fauna in the pages of Jungle Fantasy.
