Check out this cover to another of our big releases for July 2003 -- Warren Ellis' Strange Killings: Strong Medicine #2, drawn by Mike Wolfer and colored by Nimbus Studios. The ongoing saga of Combat Magician William Gravel has continued to carve out new territory on the indy comics scene with its combustive mixture of suspense, horror, drama, and percusive beats of action since Gravel's story debuted with Strange Killings #1 in November 1999.

There's some good commentary on the Strange Killings saga here on the site, not to mention background on creators Ellis and Wolfer -- and you can catch up on much of the earlier parts of the story in trade paperback form (isbn, diamond codes, and other info here). Warren Ellis' Strange Killings: Strong Medicine debuts in June and issue #1 should still be available for preorder from fine comics retailers near you.
